On June 30, the Finance Program Center of China Media Group officially released the "2024 Annual ESG Action Report" at the Media Center in Beijing. The report announced the "Top 100 Pioneering ESG Listed Companies in China" list for 2024. Thanks to its performance in environmental, social, and corporate governance responsibilities, China Resources Building Materials Technology was once again ranked 13th on the list, with its ESG performance rated at a "five-star" level.
The compilation of this list used a sample pool of 6,471 listed companies from the A-share and Hong Kong stock markets. From this pool, 972 listed companies were selected as evaluation objects, benchmarked against various domestic and international standards and evaluation systems. A general indicator system was constructed, comprising 3 primary indicators, 20 secondary indicators, and 122 tertiary indicators. The average ESG index score of the 100 companies that made the list rose to 77.4 points, with 20 companies achieving a five-star excellence level, both significantly higher than in 2023. This marks a new step and accelerated progress in the development of ESG among Chinese companies, driven by the efforts of national ministries, regulatory agencies, and mainstream media.
For a long time, China Resources Building Materials Technology has adhered to the concept of sustainable development, continuously strengthening its responsibility management, maintaining active communication with stakeholders, and deeply promoting positive exploration and practice in ESG.
On April 26, China Resources Building Materials Technology officially released the "2023 Sustainable Development Report." This report is the 11th sustainable development/social responsibility report publicly released by the company and the first since the company's official name change. The report, themed "Becoming a Respected World-Class Building Materials Technology Company," was comprehensively rated by the Expert Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility Report Ratings in China across seven dimensions: process, materiality, completeness, balance, comparability, readability, and accessibility. The report received the "five-star outstanding" social responsibility model rating for the first time and earned the "five-star" ESG excellence rating for the second consecutive year.
